Welcome to Las Vegas Romance Writers
The Las Vegas Romance Writers is the Southern Nevada chapter of Romance Writers of America®, a worldwide non-profit professional organization of over 10,000 published and unpublished writers. The group’s purpose is to promote excellence in the romance genre, to provide support to writers within the romance publishing industry, and to help writers become published and establish careers in their writing field.
We’ve been working hard to meet all our goals for over 25 years! We’re a vibrant group of active and successful writers. Not only are we actively pursuing writing careers, but we strive to provide programming that is useful to experienced writers as well as those just starting out. Toward that end, we are constantly adding new things to our calendar. In addition to our monthly meetings, we also offer online classes, several critique groups (both online and in person), writing retreats, the I Heart Indie Contest, various social events, NaNoWriMo events, and we bring world-class speakers and workshops to the Las Vegas area.
So, come on in, check out our calendar, become a member, and discover how we can all work together to become better writers and grow our writing careers.
Join us at our meeting location at the Windmill Library!
7060 W. Windmill Lane
Las Vegas, NV 89113
Be sure to check our calendar prior to attending a meeting since we sometimes hold events at different times and locations. The library opens at 10:00, the chapter meetings begin at 10:15, and the program generally runs until noon. We often gather at a restaurant for lunch after the meeting to discuss everything about writing. Guests are always welcome!
Join our critique groups!
We are happy to announce that we now have meetings dedicated to critiquing and improving your work-in-progress. We meet weekly, at various locations. Please email us for times and locations, as well as the rules of the critique group. Guests are welcome!
We also have an online critique group for LVRW members only. If you’re interested in learning more about this group, please drop by a meeting or send us an email.
