Tera ChildsWriting Contests for Fun and (Career) Profit presented by Tera Lynn Childs

Whether you have finished the first chapter of your first book or your latest is already on the shelves, writing contests have something to offer authors at every stage of their careers. Taking a look at all types of contests, from pages to queries to complete books, recovering contest junkie Tera Lynn Childs will discuss how to find contests to enter and how to get the greatest benefit out of your contest experience. She will also share practical tips for choosing the right contest for you, making your entry shine, and what to do when the results are in, whether that means learning from a loss or capitalizing on a win. This workshop is a must for new writers looking to take their work to the next level, experienced writers looking for that extra push to get their work in the hands of agents and editors, and published writers looking to find new audiences and new exposure for their books.
