Before you start writing your story, you need a clear idea of what your job is as a Story Creator. Join award-winning author Maxwell Alexander Drake as he presents his class, “Dynamic Story Creation – The Philosophy of Story Creation.” This class gives you insight into the theory of story creation, generating a strong foundation for you to build upon and ensuring readers will be captivated from the very first page. From why readers read stories, to understanding how stories must be created so readers will read yours, this class will help you understand the psychology of what it means to create stories for others, leaving your readers hungry for more.

drakeDrake wrote his first novel nearly thirty years ago when he was twelve. A lovely piece of fiction titled The Warlord’s Dust. While the world will never see this work (it was, after all, written by a twelve-year-old), the love of storytelling never left him. He’s been professionally writing for about ten years, working for both large and small companies. He’s done everything from being the Lead Fiction Writer for a massive video game from Sony titled EverQuest Next, all the way down to self-publishing some of his own work. He’s worked as a novelist, graphic novelist, been a playwright for movies, TV, and stage, as well as being a tie-in writer for both the video and table-top gaming markets.

Always one of the highest-rated presenters, Drake has been teaching creative writing classes since 2009 at fan conventions, book festivals, writers’ conferences, as well as locally for the Clark County Library District.
